Le Cheile’s Mission Statement:
Le Cheile is committed to providing excellent standards of care for the holistic development of each child. Through providing a warm, friendly, safe and caring environment we aspire to challenge and stimulate children to develop to their full potential through play, learning, interactions and experiences that are age and stage appropriate.
Le Cheile is a community-based purposed built childcare facility located in Mitchell Street, Dungarvan which was established in 2009. We care for children from 12 months to preschool age in a secure, fun and safe environment.
Our opening hours are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm.
Le Cheile has a Wobbler room, Toddler room, Cruiser Room, Junior Preschool room and 5 ECCE Preschool rooms. We also have a preschool room called Kiddie’s Cove in our Whitestrand facility, this is an extension of Le Cheile.
Le Cheile provides an excellent service for up to 210 children annually and aims to provide the perfect environment for children to develop their social, personal and educational skills. We work closely with local schools and agencies.
We have large outdoor areas designed to ensure that children have the opportunity to explore their natural environment and expand their learning through play.
Our curriculum is play based and is linked to Aistear the Early Learning National Curriculum Framework for children from birth to 6 years of age. We are also linked with Síolta the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education.
Our rooms are developmentally designed to support each childs learning. Our materials and equipment are age and stage appropriate.
Hot meals are provided daily along with snacks for children attending full day care.
We are registered with Túsla the Child and Family Agency, we are member of Early Childhood Ireland and part funded by DCYA.
Parents can now access the NCS National Childcare Scheme if their child is currently attending Le Cheile. This scheme is designed to support parents with childcare fees. For further information please visit The National Childcare Scheme
